BABY’S BUSY DAY—BEING ONE IS SO MUCH FUN!
In 2017, the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) “Learn the Signs—Act Early” project launched a national contest, calling for proposals to be considered for their Amazing Books preschool series.
Their books help parents and caregivers learn about child development and developmental milestones. This national search was for a picture book/board book designed as a fun read-aloud for babies (12-18 months) while simultaneously reflecting appropriate developmental milestones.
My rhyming board book, BABY’S BUSY DAY, was the winning submission and was released in 2019. The book is available to families as well as health care providers and early childhood educators. Go to: Amazing Books to order online.
My book launch was held in Nashville, Tennessee at the annual conference of the National Association for the Education of Young Children NAEYC. What a rewarding experience it has been!
